Hey I recognize that driver. Haha.

?The whole assembly has the same specs as an Altec 604C?. Right.

So how did they mount the Altec HF driver? Do some of the 80x have removable studs?

Edit: I haven?t tried to remove the studs out of any of mine, but looking at google pics, it does look like it?s possible. I know the studs come out of my 291C drivers fairly easily.
